BA (Hons) Entrepreneurship
The BA (Hons) Entrepreneurship programme is an innovative, one-of-a-kind programme designed to equip you with all the skills you need to bring your business ideas to life. The programme provides an environment to support aspiring entrepreneurs, or individuals who want to develop practical entrepreneurial skills and experience which they can apply to business. The programme provides a flexible framework for the study of entrepreneurship combining entrepreneurial theory, business skills, specialist research led modules and an opportunity to pursue an experiential approach in which you will appl
Covered by the prestigious AACSB accreditation, the programme is designed to enable students follow a career path in the corporate world or make their own path. Adopting research led and experiential learning approach, students will be getting in-depth knowledge in business, management and leadership and apply it to real world problems. The programme enables students to conduct business responsibly, ethically, and sustainably.
In year 1, students will learn core aspects of business including entrepreneurship, marketing, finance, analysis, business and economy. The unique element of year 1 is ‘preparing for professional practice’ module that develops students practically in assessing employment trends, competency-based interviews, applications form, CVs, and cover letters. In year 2, a more ‘entrepreneurship focused’ curriculum will be taught. Students will study specialist modules including ‘entrepreneurial management’, ‘entrepreneurship theory ’, ‘International Digital Economy’. The other two core modules are ‘creativity & innovation’ and ‘business research and analysis’. The final year prepare students for the capstone ‘undergraduate dissertation’ . In the final year, students will develop advance critical knowledge in areas like ‘digital entrepreneurship’, ‘family business ’, ‘contemporary issues in entrepreneurship’. Students will also complete ‘Student Enterprise: Leading a venture’ module. The programme culminates into a capstone UG dissertation.

The nature of international financial reporting standards
Format and content of the statement of profit or loss and statement of financial position
The statement of cash flows
Analysis and interpretation of financial statements using ratio analysis
You will then examine how financial information can facilitate managers in making operational decisions in relation to planning and control.

Costing (full and variable costing)
Cost, volume, profit analysis
Relevant costs for decision making
Budgeting and variance analysis
Balance scorecards
Working capital management
Finally, you will explore the motivations for entrepreneurial activity and techniques that can be used to appraise investment decisions.
